Silver Clay adventure and a bit from the heart...

Last Night I had my 1st ever play with silver clay. My friend Rachael works with it so talked me through the process. I was impressed with the earrings and pendant I made and would definitely use it again.

I'm feeling a little sad today as my Nan passed away yesterday, rest in peace. You can feel a little lost when things like this happen but I think it helps to be creative. It inspires you to look at all the simple things that make you happy and re assess the direction you want your own life to go.

On a positive note my Keum Bo earrings have been featured on a flyer for a Making Space event, I feel very flattered.

Wednesday 24 March 2010

Despite feeling quite stressed (life things that are totally out of my control) I am determined to enjoy my birthday weekend.

It only comes once a year so everything will just have to be put on hold until Monday.
Tomorrow I'm off to Brighton with my Mum, Dad and Maddie then spending the weekend in Bournemouth and rocking out Saturday night.

I have a little inkling that my boyf has bought me a dremmel drill..... we'll wait and see.

Have a great few days, I'll be back armed with a brew next week to catch up with everyone.

Glass fusing and Keum Bo

Keum Bo is a Korean technique fusing gold leaf onto silver. I did a Saturday workshop last Saturday with Sarah Macrae and am really pleased with the earrings I made considering it was my first effort. Can you guess what they are meant to represent?.......

Ladybugs in the grass!

These are the fused glass jewellery pieces that I made the same day as my clock.

Have a lovely weekend, some swimming for me and Alice in Wonderland 3D.

Majma

This is me and my friends at Majma in Glastonbury, we had a great time learning new styles of dancing, enjoying performances and dancing to a live band.

These were the black and green Nikki special beads that I made the weekend before. YUMMY! The word of the weekend, thanks to Joles!
Unfortunately I haven't had much chance for creativity this week, life stuff has taken over but I'm looking forward to trying my hand at Keum Bo jewellery on Saturday and collecting my fired glass clock! WOO!
Hope your having a good week so far..... E x

Dancing..

So this week my mind has been totally distracted by dancing. I'm heading off to Glastonbury on Friday with 2 of my friends for a weekend of workshops, sparkles and performances. It's going to be great.....I bet I'll get loads of fresh jewellery ideas as well.

I made some beads on Sunday with my last can of mapp gas and have vowed that March will be the conversion month, to be able to sit for longer than half an hour making beads is going to be rewarding. I just start to get into it then poof my flame turns. Frustrating, especially as I'm still new to it and have soo much I want to try to do.

March is about making changes to make life that little bit easier!
