Glass Commission Work

Phew... what a weekend Drakefest was - dancing, live bands and lots of merry making along with some sales to new faces.
All in all pretty awesome! Even the downpour Sunday night didn't ruin the mood although did make for a very wet pack down which is always a bit well soggy!
I've had some awesome glass commission work to be getting into this week - glass bead earrings, a beautiful sparkly cat pendant with more on the cards including a new design and a special memory necklace. Pictures will follow as the owners receive safely! Have a fab weekend! Elisa

This Week... Love Southsea Market, Texture Moulds and Torch Time.

I share a stall at Love Southsea with Vidya who kindly was as excited as me and rose to the challenge of helping me play with texture. I found some tree bark and she made me some clay tester designs to slump my glass into. I'll post the results!

Love Southsea Market is tomorrow - this is a friendly event with always a good funky selection of stalls. Looking forward to seeing some of my regulars.

This collection of blue handmade lampwork beads was part of the Above The Blue collection and has reminded me to factor in some well needed torch time on next week's to do list. Have a great weekend, Elisa :)

Suppliers Restocked for Christmas and This weekend's Event

The last couple of week's there has been work going on behind the scenes so I could get shiny new work into my suppliers for the run up to the festive season. You will see new pieces in Above The Blue, Beneficial Foundation, The Spring, Everything But The Dress and Moods Studio. Pictures below of a few of these pieces.

New to Elisa Loves - 3 Bead Drop Pendants

This week I have put a small collection into the Beneficial Foundation "Gallery Corner" and updated the collection at Moods Studio. So cross fingers that will bring some new customers to the Elisa Loves dark side ;)

New Collections

I've been totally buzzing this week with ideas and have been quite productive on the making front. I have been looking at 2 different styles - imagery in dichroic and textured cabochons for the attractive triangle bails.For more designs please see www.facebook.com/elisaloves

Sunshine brings sales!

I've had a great sales week this week and some of my favourite designs of the moment have sold so I'm really pleased. Below are a few that sold and if you like anything don't forget I can make similar but never the same!

So this weekend is set to be productive stage 1 of project garage commences - I must take photos of the stages. It is full to the brim of stuff ready for the tip which is exactly where it is off to tomorrow. 2013 will see my fabulous workshop become a reality. I'm soooo excited you cannot believe. Or maybe you can if your a fellow crafter/maker lacking space. What are you up to this weekend? Have a great one, Elisa :)

This week.....

Just as I've been moaning that I haven't had enough time to be creative I have just sat back and realised I've made a new set of lapis glass beads, a fascinator, some cuff links and a birdcage veil. So maybe I was being a little harsh on myself! I've been doing some more research and think I have finally "got" Pinterest. So all in all not so shabby as week's go. Cross fingers this weekend the little details will get sorted - a shelf, a clock and some paint splodges will all result in my new kitchen being finished then to move onto the garage aka a new Elisa zone. New Stockist

I am pleased to announce that a collection of my fused glass jewellery will be available from Above the Blue Gallery at Port Solent. I have attached pictures of a few of the pieces available.

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!!!!

Well it's all a total whirlwind of fun. I have some gorgeous commission work in both fascinators and glass and so many little things are just coming together. Last week my circle cutter broke and for me this was devastation - I'm addicted to circles I don't want to make anything else in glass, unless asked of course ;) I have a new perfectly working one now PHEW! I am loving decals, particularly bird ones - I want to design my own, that is another thing to add to the list.

American glass artists are so lucky, I keep buying one off bits of totally fab glass I can't get here. They are just stunning. I've copied a couple of pictures below.

The big news of the week is we got a shop opening date, wooooo! 15th September! I will post more nearer the time to remind you. So full steam ahead on all my new secret squirrel fascinators and tiaras that I've been hiding! I told you it was a fab week and I collect my new business cards tomorrow and get to finally set up my new torch.....I might actually burst!!!!
