New Bird Decal Fused Glass Pendants

How is everyone this week? I did a tac fuse on a range of bits that had been on the to do and well I ran the new kiln a bit too low. The glass came out attached but didn't look like it had been fused. Oh dear! The torch got fired up and did a bit of stringer work practice, I want to suss out winding the stringer continuously 1 without burning myself and 2 without over heating. I'm getting there! I also got these new design bird decal pendants in the kiln - I especially love the flamingo. Think I need one in my life maybe in yellow! Have a great weekend, E x

New Pop Pendant Designs & Lampwork Bead Bottle Openers

So this last week has been lovely and positive. The vibe at the Mind, Body and Spirit Fayre was great with such a lovely crowd of customers and fellow stallholders. Off the back of that I made my first rainbow Chakra bead which turned out pretty well (pic on my Facebook).
My new lampwork bead bottle openers have been popular and I have had a few commissions for different colours. This last week also saw some of the new decal designs out of the kiln and I'm really pleased how they have come out. Have a great weekend mine is the calm before the fair a week season, Elisa :)

This week.....

Just as I've been moaning that I haven't had enough time to be creative I have just sat back and realised I've made a new set of lapis glass beads, a fascinator, some cuff links and a birdcage veil. So maybe I was being a little harsh on myself! I've been doing some more research and think I have finally "got" Pinterest. So all in all not so shabby as week's go. Cross fingers this weekend the little details will get sorted - a shelf, a clock and some paint splodges will all result in my new kitchen being finished then to move onto the garage aka a new Elisa zone. I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!!!!

Well it's all a total whirlwind of fun. I have some gorgeous commission work in both fascinators and glass and so many little things are just coming together. Last week my circle cutter broke and for me this was devastation - I'm addicted to circles I don't want to make anything else in glass, unless asked of course ;) I have a new perfectly working one now PHEW! I am loving decals, particularly bird ones - I want to design my own, that is another thing to add to the list.

American glass artists are so lucky, I keep buying one off bits of totally fab glass I can't get here. They are just stunning. I've copied a couple of pictures below.

The big news of the week is we got a shop opening date, wooooo! 15th September! I will post more nearer the time to remind you. So full steam ahead on all my new secret squirrel fascinators and tiaras that I've been hiding! I told you it was a fab week and I collect my new business cards tomorrow and get to finally set up my new torch.....I might actually burst!!!!
