New promotion material and a new dichroic brooch.

Woo I'm off on holiday to see my family for a week so just a quick post today!

How cute are these lovely new earring cards. I'm really pleased and think they do my earrings justice.

As promised this is our new flyer -

I made this lovely fused glass brooch for my Aunt. The combination of a variety of clear dichroic glasses I think look really effective and look forward to trying this again in more jewellery.

Pulborough Brooks and Some new jewellery designs.

I had a lovely weekend in the studio making fused glass jewellery on Saturday and then Sunday with my Dad at Pulborough Brooks. We were lucky with the weather it was jumper weather but the sun kept peeking through. Our best spot was a spotted redshank - which admittedly was pointed out by a member of RSPB staff! The lovely tortoiseshell butterfly above sat and posed for me, I am quite clumsy and usually scare them off! Below are the most massive cows - they look quite small in the picture but I wouldn't want to meet 1 on a dark night no matter how passive they are!

An example of my fused glass jewellery

Green Goddess is a further wirework experiment - I love the effect wrapping the coloured wire has given but it look forever!

Below Billa Bang Necklace I feel needs no explaining it's just billa bang!
Have a great weekend x

Earrings....

This week my creative juices have been flowing...
I've really been enjoying making new designs.

This week I've included my new selection of earrings. I gave up making earrings for a while as have been quite unsuccessful in selling them but actually I think that has been more down to my presentation... we've had them hanging on a jewellery tree so not so easy to access. We have just ordered some lovely personalised cards so not only will these look more professional but they are a really cute design.

A few other really lovely things have happened - we got our jewellery party flyer's designed by http://www.maddieillustration.co.uk/ and printed they look ace I'll see if I can get a copy uploaded. Also we have been confirmed for a ladies night in July.

These cobalt blue earrings I gave to my friend as a little pressie. I made the beads myself and they are probably the only 2 so far that even vaguely look like a pair!!
Have a great weekend! E x

Madrid, Tiara and my 1st picnic of the year.

My friend Lara and I headed off for a long weekend away in Madrid. Above is the palace square where it was great just to relax and take in the atmosphere - other tourists and locals enjoying the haven in this otherwise busy city. We watched flamenco, did some shopping, drank sangria and ate churros - not bad for 3 days!

So I finally finished Melissa's tiara. I really enjoyed making it and look forward to making others. She was really pleased and what can be better than a quirky design taylormade to you. :)
Woo I had my 1st picnic in the park with some great friends just catching up on all the fun stuff! I love picnics!
This weekend I'm hoping to take on a larger project - not quite so creative but the front of my flat needs painting! Cross fingers for sunshine! x x

Fused glass, seeds and wildlife.

I've had a great couple of weeks and super productive.

After visiting my cousin in Brighton seeing lots up and coming bands I headed back home fresh with ideas and ready to create.
Above finally is a picture of my completed fused glass clock - I'm really pleased with it and spent last Saturday creating more fused glass jewellery. I think I'm a little addicted and can't wait to get back in the workshop to do some more. Above is one of my favourite pieces that I've made so far.

My seeds got replanted Sunday - tomatoes (above), spinach and rocket (below) and peppers.

It's orchid time of year again! WOO! Above is the first Southern Marsh Orchid I've seen and below the beautiful White Hellaborine. Such a treat to be able to appreciate such wonderful flowers in my lunch hour. Big smiles!! Have a fantastic week!!

More wirework...

I thought I should get listing so put a few new bits up on Etsy this afternoon. Above Labradorite Star was 1 of them. It's a contination of my growing love for wirework.

Just a short post today as off to Brighton to see some bands with my cousin.

Have a great weekend! E x

Beads and well wine.....

This week has been about making glass beads and well drinking wine.

We had an education/disaster day at the May day fair. It wasn't really for us partly down to our presentation/displaying wasn't a high enough standard but people were out for 50p bargins and well I don't have anything that's 50p.

Met a lovely lady called Rachel though who specialises in fused glass. Her work is just beautiful and very inspiring. http://www.magpieglass.co.uk/

I'm off on a course in fused glass jewellery this weekend so very excited!

My friend who showed me the wonders of silver clay is moving back to Bristol later this month so in her words we had to have "a few sherberts" or in my world wine! So Wednesday evening was filled with chatting, yummy Italian risotto and well more than a few sherberts!

Above is my favourite bead of the week - I melted together dark red, orange and dark yellow opaque and then swirled on some psyche.

Have a great weekend! E x x
